ASU-Newport: Jonesboro Campus

Founded in 1950, the Jonesboro Practical Nurse School started to meet the medical needs of the Jonesboro community. After being adopted by Delta VoTech in 1967, the Jonesboro campus developed other technical programs to meet the expanding need of the industrial community. July 1, 2001 A-State assumed operational ownership of Delta Technical Institute and became known as the ASU Technical Center. ASU-Newport took control of the ASU Technical Center in 2008. Today, the ASUN Jonesboro Campus houses outstanding programs such as Hospitality Services, Welding, Nursing, Industrial Maintenance, and Advanced Manufacturing.
