Henderson Reports 9% Overall Enrollment Increase for Fall 2025; First-time Freshmen Up 46% with Largest Class in Six Years

ARKADELPHIA, Ark. — Overall enrollment at Henderson State University increased 9% for Fall 2025, with preliminary 11th-day numbers showing 2,258 students enrolled in Fall 2025 compared to 2,061 students in Fall 2024. Enrollment for first-time freshmen and transfer students also has increased significantly.
Henderson reports a substantial 46% increase in first-time freshmen — 572 in Fall 2025 compared to 391 in Fall 2024. This represents the largest freshman class since 2019. Likewise, transfer student enrollment increased 32% — with 196 transfer students in Fall 2025 compared to 149 in Fall 2024.
Graduate enrollment decreased by 3 percent — with 577 graduate students in Fall 2025 compared to 593 students in Fall 2024. Fall 2025 enrollment includes 1,681 undergraduate and 577 graduate students.
Campus housing increased by 16%, totaling 1,095 residents in Fall 2025 versus 933 in Fall 2024. This represents the highest occupancy on campus since 2021.
