A-State Economic Impact Measured at $2.5 Billion

A new study shows Arkansas State University has an economic impact of $2.5 billion annually through campus operations, student and visitor spending, and alumni who live and work throughout Arkansas. Recently completed by Parker Strategy Group, the study is titled “A-State Powers Growth: Transforming the Economy and Inspiring Hearts and Minds.” The analysis concluded A-State’s economic impact reached $2.5 billion in the fiscal 2022-23 year, including $480 million generated by the Jonesboro campus, student spending and visitor spending, as well as $2 billion generated by A-State alumni living and working throughout Arkansas.

Henderson State Introduces Arkansas Aviation Academy as Expanded Program for Pilots

Henderson State University today announced the official renaming of its aviation flight training program as the Arkansas Aviation Academy, which will prepare pilots who are not enrolled as Henderson students but are seeking credentials to become commercial pilots. The Arkansas Aviation Academy, recently approved by the Federal Aviation Administration, expands Henderson’s long-established professional pilot bachelor’s degree program – the only public university program of its kind in the state.

Henderson Sees Growth in Freshman, Sophomore, Transfer Student Enrollment for Spring 2025

Henderson State University has announced growth in freshman, sophomore, and transfer student enrollment for Spring 2025. Overall enrollment decreased 3 percent with 1,820 students in Spring 2025 compared with 1,879 students in Spring 2024. Preliminary 11th-day reporting shows a 28 percent jump in freshmen with 335 in Spring 2025 compared with 262 in Spring 2024. The sophomore class grew by 3 percent with 256 students versus 248 students year-over-year.

A-State Announces Largest Spring Enrollment in University History

Spring enrollment at Arkansas State University continues to soar, with a reported 11th-day headcount of a record 16,073 students — a 10% increase over spring 2024. Enrollment of students from Arkansas saw a boost of 8.1%, with 9,452 from in-state, compared with 8,745 last spring.
