Arkansas State University Three Rivers (ASUTR) is a two-year community college in Malvern that provides accessible, high-value associate degrees and certificates in a quality academic environment that is focused on both student success and the economic development needs of the communities it serves.
ASUTR offers more than 50 programs of study in academic, career and technical disciplines to approximately 3,500 credit, non-credit, adult education and workforce students, while serving the culturally and economically diverse populations in the five-county service area of Hot Spring, Saline, Clark, Grant and Dallas Counties.
Accredited by The Higher Learning Commission, ASU Three Rivers offers some of the region’s best professional and technical programs. Through its divisions of Applied Science Technology, Arts and Sciences, and Health Sciences, ASUTR offers certification in a number of academic, law enforcement, medical, and vocational fields.
ASUTR grants Associate of Applied Science, Associate of Arts, and Associate of Business degrees in nursing, computer information systems, engineering and manufacturing technology (mechatronics), general technology, criminal justice, general education, accounting, office administration, management, and early childhood education. The College’s general education courses prepare students for a bachelor’s degree which is a great way to stretch scholarship dollars, family funds, and financial aid assistance.

Saline County Career Technical Campus
Saline County Career and Technical Campus of ASU Three Rivers is focused on preparing students for careers whether a student is hoping to work soon after high school or wants to pursue a college degree. We offer 10 different pathways for students who want to have a high-demand, high-paying career. Through hands-on experience, students gain a solid foundation in academic, technical and employability skills and knowledge to pursue higher education or directly enter a career field.

ASU Three Rivers in Spring 2026 opens a new, $8 million building expansion and upgrade to serve a growing population of nursing students on its Malvern campus.

New Nursing Complex
Arkansas State University Three Rivers in Malvern on Nov. 13 unveiled its new 27,500-square-foot Nursing Complex. An $8 million federal grant secured by U.S. Sen. John Boozman was used to construct the new nursing building to accommodate an increase in practical nursing and registered nursing slots, as well as new programs for certified nursing assistants and emergency medical technicians. Clark Contractors was the general contractor for the project, which includes simulation labs, computer labs, offices, and student assembly areas.

ASU Three Rivers partners with local timber company employer West Fraser to provide the company’s Qualified Training Programs. Three Rivers received a $2.8 million Higher Industry Readiness through Educational Development (HIRED) grant from the State of Arkansas to expand its training facilities.
