Robert Evans is the Executive Director for Governmental Relations of Arkansas State University, a system of higher education with campuses in Jonesboro, Beebe, Heber Springs, Marked Tree, Mountain Home, Newport, Paragould, and Searcy.
The university also has degree centers in Blytheville, Forrest City, and West Memphis. Arkansas State University enrolls 17,400 students in credit and non-credit courses in 25 locations across Arkansas, and numerous on-line courses offered by the internet.
Mr. Evans is the governmental liaison for Arkansas State University, working with the state legislature on acquiring appropriations, programs, construction projects, etc., for all of the campuses. When the General Assembly is in session, he attends committee meetings and monitors the actions of certain bills that are of importance to the system.
